Fusion CI Studios created the fluid simulations and renders for this spot (ocean surface, high-volume splashes/spray, the stylized, climactic tsunami wave, and "samurai effect" for Method Studios in Santa Monica, CA.

Fusion sim'd and rendered more than 40 elements for four shots, comprising ocean surface, core splashes, spray and foam. The splashes were rendered using Mental Ray, global illumination and HDR lighting. The spray was rendered volumetrically. The wave was stylized to be a non-realistic, non-threatening 'tsunami' wave for the Japanese market. The car, road and environment were all cg elements by Method Studios, the principle fx studio.
